The Inevitable Final
The two bands and artist that were welcomed on stage on the last night of Ekstremsportveko 2012, had one thing in common. They made the crowd jump!
The final evening ending this year´s Veko inevitably catched up with us, but as a tribute to a great week, our two bands of the night definitely did their job.
The five guys in the Norwegian-Brit group Eye Emma Jeddi (photo) had the honour of entering first on stage at the last night of Ekstremsportveko 2012.
With their characteristic sharp drums and catchy guitar riffs, it´s safe to say that they seemed to please a bunch of happy people – some enriched with experiences from a week of great fun, some glad to be at Voss and Veko for the weekend.
– Come on, speed it up, clap your hands, we wanna see you jump!, was the request from the poprock group.
Next on stage, the up and coming Bergen rapper Lars Vaular, sure did perform with a different kind of music, but he had the same request to the audience:
– Let me see you pop up and down to this beat!
The audience did as he asked, maybe not as a polite gesture, more like a body reflex, as the beats were pumping from the stage.
When he ended the show with his Norwegian hit «Rett opp og ned» (straight up and down), the concert evening was complete, and the good mood created by the bands could continue out into the late hours.
