Big Air competition took place at Prestegardslandet today at 17.00. The competition consist of thin snow slide, about 60 meters long and end in a snow jump right out in Vangsvatne. Some of the athletes participating in this year Big Air was ekstremsport veteran Eirik Øvreeide. Øvreeide had a strong start with some great air trick before landing in the cold water. Vinjår Slåtten was also one of the participants, and became a favourite early on due to his spectacular tricks. Many people had gathered around the snow slide to watch, and some of the youngest audience members were especially stunned with the contestant’s tricks. This is the second time Big Air is being arranged under Veko, and the man responsible for this exciting event is local hero Klaus Finne.
