Master of the Elements
Ekstremsportveko was never just a festival — it was a meeting point between the elements. Air, water, and earth pushed the limits of sport, while fire brought everyone together through music, culture, and energy.
Over the years, that identity has faded into the background — but people still remember it, and more importantly, they felt it. In 2026, we’re bringing that DNA back. Not as a concept, but as a living, visible force throughout the entire week. This is about reconnecting Veko to what made it iconic in the first place—where every jump, every ride, every moment belongs to an element, and every night ignites it. It’s a call back to the roots, and an invitation to experience Ekstremsportveko the way it was always meant to be.
We’re introducing: “Master of the Elements”.
Master of the Elements is a new prestigious title awarded to one person who doesn't just master a single sport — but proves their dominance across an entire element.
This is not about specialization. It’s about versatility, adaptability, and true mastery within the environment you compete in.
The Challenge
Each sport at Ekstremsportveko belongs to an element:
Air → BASE, Skydiving, Paragliding, Speedflying, Indoor Skydiving, Gliding and Freestyle Trampoline.
Earth → MTB, BMX, Climbing, Skateboarding, Longboarding, Gravel and Trail Running. Flytt Snow og Vossakrigar
Water → Kayaking, Rafting, Snow, Vossakrigar, Cliff Jumping and Dødsing.
Fire → TBA (surprise?)
This is not for the faint-hearted: To become Master of an Element, you must prove that you are the most complete athlete within that domain — not just the best in one discipline.
How It Works
✅ Compete Across Disciplines
You must compete and score points in at least two different sports within your element to qualify.
✅ Balanced Scoring System
To ensure fairness across all sports:
Every sport is capped at a maximum of 100 points total, regardless of how many competitions it includes. Points are distributed evenly across competitions within that sport.
👉 Example:
- Skydiving (10 competitions) → 10 points per competition → For example: first place for Swooping: 4 points, second place: 3 points, third place: 2 points: Total 10 points)
- Indoor Skydiving (4 competitions) → 25 points per competition → For example: first place for Formation: 12,5 points, second place: 7.5 points, third place: 5 points.
This ensures that no single sport with a lot of competitions can dominate the overall ranking of sports with less competitions.
✅ Top 3 Results Count Only
Only the top 3 individuals/groups of each competition will get points and will count toward your score. (In groupsports: all the athletes will get scored as if it were an individual competition).
This rewards consistency and performance — without favoring those who compete excessively.
✅ Element Champion
The athlete with the highest combined score across multiple disciplines within an element is crowned:
🏆 Master of Air
🏆 Master of Earth
🏆 Master of Water
(🏆 Master of Fire)
Prepare for Greatness
