Head of Equipment

Location: Voss, Norway
Duration: Project-based position (before and during Ekstremsportveko)

The Head of Equipment plays a key role in ensuring that the sports programs at Ekstremsportveko have the right equipment available at the right time. The role is essential for smooth execution of activities and competitions and requires a structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented individual with strong logistics awareness.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Administration and Planning

- Maintain overview of equipment inventory, storage, and distribution for all sports activities during Ekstremsportveko.

- Prepare equipment lists and coordinate transport and distribution to different venues and arenas.

Maintenance and Follow-Up

- Ensure that all equipment is in safe, functional condition before, during, and after the event.

- Carry out or coordinate necessary maintenance and support safe and correct use of equipment.

Collaboration and Coordination

- Work closely with discipline leads to ensure sport-specific equipment needs are met.

- Cooperate with the logistics team to ensure efficient transport, use, and return of equipment.

Safety and Quality Assurance

- Ensure that equipment complies with relevant safety standards and requirements.

- Address equipment-related challenges in real time during the event.

Post-Event Follow-Up

- Review equipment condition after the festival and assess needs for repair, replacement, or future use.

- Contribute to evaluation of equipment logistics and identify improvements for future events.

- You are well organized and maintain good overview.

- Experience with equipment handling is an advantage, preferably from sports, events, or logistics.

- You collaborate well with others, including discipline leads, volunteers, and the logistics team.

- You are hands-on and solution-oriented.

- Basic technical understanding and safety awareness are an advantage.

Working Hours and Duration

The role requires high availability before, during, and after Ekstremsportveko, with primary focus on planning and execution during the festival period. Physical presence in Voss is required to ensure safe and efficient handling of equipment.
