Head of Multisport

Location: Voss, Norway & Online
Duration: Project-based position (before and during Ekstremsportveko)

The Head of Multisport is a key role in ensuring that the multisport competitions at Ekstremsportveko are delivered in a safe, professional, and engaging manner. The role requires a structured and committed individual with a strong interest in multisport and event delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks


Coordination of Multisport Activities

- Overall responsibility for planning and execution of all events and competitions within the multisport program.

- Develop detailed schedules and activity setups in line with applicable rules, formats, and guidelines.

- Ensure smooth coordination between the different elements and disciplines included in the multisport concept.


Collaboration with Athletes and Volunteers

- Work closely with athletes to ensure they have access to the necessary information, equipment, and resources.

- Recruit, organize, and follow up volunteers involved in the delivery of multisport activities and competitions.


Safety and Quality Assurance

- Ensure that the multisport program complies with relevant safety standards and guidelines.

- Monitor event execution and identify operational or safety-related challenges that require action.


Cooperation with the Safety Team

- Work closely with the safety team to ensure all activities are carried out in a safe and controlled manner.

- Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the implementation of necessary measures.


Participant and Audience Experience

- Actively work to ensure a positive and memorable experience for both participants and spectators.

- Contribute to strengthening the festival’s profile through high-quality execution of multisport events and competitions.

 

We Expect

Experience in Sport

- Practical experience or solid knowledge of multisport or related disciplines.


Coordination and Responsibility

- Ability to plan, coordinate, and take responsibility for the execution of activities and events.


Safety Awareness

- Basic understanding of safety in sports and event contexts, and willingness to follow established routines and systems.


Communication and Collaboration

- Ability to collaborate effectively with athletes, volunteers, and other involved stakeholders.


Structure and Flexibility

- Well-organized and solution-oriented, with the ability to adapt to changes as they occur.
 

Working Hours and Duration

The position requires a high degree of flexibility, with increased workload in the period before and during Ekstremsportveko. Physical presence in Voss is required to ensure safe and efficient execution of the multisport program.
