Duration: Project-based position (before and during Ekstremsportveko)

The Head of Tickets is responsible for ensuring that ticketing systems, registration, and check-in run smoothly and professionally throughout Ekstremsportveko. The role is central to the first impression the festival gives to participants, volunteers, and the audience, and requires a structured and service-minded individual who stays calm and in control even when queues grow long and the pace increases.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Ticketing Systems and Preparation

- Manage setup, operation, and follow-up of ticketing and registration systems prior to the festival.

- Ensure ticket categories, access levels, and registration solutions are correctly configured in collaboration with the festival and sports organization.

- Test and quality-assure systems ahead of festival opening.

Registration and Check-In

- Have overall responsibility for check-in of athletes, volunteers, and participants.

- Establish clear routines for registration, wristband/pass distribution, and access control.

- Contribute to smooth flow and short waiting times at all check-in points.

Volunteer Coordination and Scheduling

- Coordinate volunteers working with ticketing, registration, and check-in.

- Set up, approve, and maintain volunteer shift schedules (duty rosters) related to ticketing and registration.

- Ensure volunteers are informed about their shifts, tasks, and meeting points.

- Communicate clearly with volunteers before and during the festival, including handling changes and replacements when needed.

- Lead and brief volunteers to ensure consistent and professional front-of-house operations.

Collaboration and Communication

- Work closely with relevant teams to ensure correct access rights and information flow.

- Coordinate with volunteer management, safety teams, and festival operations to ensure smooth crowd flow and access control.

Issue Handling and Problem Solving

- Handle ticket-related questions, registration errors, and discrepancies in a calm and solution-oriented manner.

- Be present during the festival to make quick decisions in case of technical or operational challenges.

Follow-Up and Evaluation

- Follow up on registration data and reporting after the festival.

- Contribute to evaluation and improvement of ticketing, registration, and volunteer workflow solutions for future editions.

Working Hours and Duration

The role requires high availability before, during, and after Ekstremsportveko, with particular need during opening days, competition days, and peak periods. Physical presence in Voss is required.
