Position Title: Head of Safety - Vossakrigar
Duration: Project-based position (before, during, and after Ekstremsportveko)
The Head of Vossakrigar - Safety plays a critical role in ensuring that all competitions and activities within a given sport are conducted safely and professionally. This position requires a responsible and proactive individual with a strong focus on safety, structure, and teamwork.
Main Responsibilities
Safety procedures and compliance:

Ensure that all safety procedures and guidelines are followed throughout competitions and activities within the assigned sport.

Conduct risk assessments and identify measures to minimize potential hazards.
Equipment and emergency readiness:

Ensure that all required safety equipment is available, functional, and meets current standards.

Organize and coordinate emergency preparedness in collaboration with volunteers and the central safety team.
Coordination and collaboration:

Work closely with athletes, volunteers, and organizers to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Cooperate with the festival’s safety management to maintain participant and spectator safety.
Monitoring and problem-solving:

Supervise ongoing activities during events to detect and address safety challenges.

Be present and ready to respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies.
Training and briefings:

Ensure that all volunteers and team members involved in the sport receive proper safety training.

Lead pre-event safety briefings to ensure clear communication and preparedness.
We Expect
Experience in safety work:

Previous experience in safety management within sports, events, or similar activities.
Knowledge of procedures:

Working Hours and Duration
The role requires flexibility and high availability before, during, and after the festival. On-site presence in Voss is essential to ensure safe and efficient execution of all activities.
