Head of Veko Diner/Café


Position Title: Head of Veko Diner/Café
Reports to: Festival Director
Department: Festival
Location: Voss, Norway & Digital
Duration: Project-based position (before, during, and after Ekstremsportveko)


Main Responsibilities

Operation of café services:

  • Responsible for the daily operation of all café outlets during Ekstremsportveko, including menu planning and service logistics.

  • Ensure that the cafés deliver high-quality food and beverages to participants and spectators.

Coordination with suppliers:

  • Secure supply of fresh ingredients by collaborating with suppliers and following up on orders.

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure efficient inventory management.

Staffing and training:

  • Organize and coordinate café staff, including recruitment, training, and supervision.

  • Ensure all staff comply with hygiene standards, safety procedures, and customer service guidelines.

Hygiene and safety:

  • Ensure that all cafés operate in accordance with current hygiene requirements and food safety regulations.

  • Conduct inspections to guarantee safe and efficient operation of service areas.

Supervision and problem-solving:

  • Be present to handle challenges that may arise during café operations throughout the festival.

  • Solve logistical or staff-related issues quickly and effectively.


Qualifications

  • Café/food service experience: Documented experience from café operations, catering, or food service, preferably in high-paced environments.

  • Leadership skills: Ability to organize and lead a team in an efficient and motivating manner.

  • Hygiene and regulations competence: Good knowledge of hygiene standards and food service regulations.

  • Communication skills: Strong ability to interact with staff, suppliers, and the public.

  • Organizational ability: Structured and detail-oriented in planning and execution.


Workload and Duration

The position requires flexibility and high availability in the period before, during, and after the festival.
On-site presence in Voss is necessary to ensure smooth execution of café operations.
