Companion Pass Policy – Ekstremsportveko

Ekstremsportveko aims to be an inclusive festival for everyone. Visitors with a valid companion certificate/card may use our companion pass system during the festival.

What is a companion wristband?

The companion wristband makes it easy to identify approved companions during the festival. The wristband is flexible and may be used by different companions when needed.

The companion wristband:

is not personal

is not linked to one specific companion

is designed to be removable and transferable between companions

The holder of the companion certificate/card decides who acts as their companion at any given time and is responsible for the correct use of the wristband.

Distribution of companion wristbands

Companion wristbands are distributed during check-in or accreditation.

Normally, 1–2 wristbands are issued per approved companion certificate/card.

All issued wristbands are registered by the organizer.

Rules of use

The companion wristband may only be used when the person is actively acting as a companion.

The companion must wear the wristband visibly during the festival.

Companions are granted access to relevant festival areas together with the certificate holder.

The companion does not have independent access without the certificate holder present.

The companion wristband is only valid together with a valid ticket or accreditation belonging to the certificate holder.

The companion scheme does not provide extended rights beyond what is necessary to assist the user.

If a companion wishes to attend Ekstremsportveko privately and is not functioning as a companion, they must purchase a valid ticket or festival pass under normal terms.

The companion wristband does not grant participation rights or additional access beyond the role as companion.

Misuse of the scheme

The following will be considered misuse:

using the companion wristband without actively acting as a companion

lending the wristband in violation of the scheme

attempting to gain unauthorized access

In cases of misuse, the companion wristband may be confiscated immediately.

Repeated or serious misuse may also result in the withdrawal of rights connected to the companion certificate/card.

Lost wristbands

Lost companion wristbands must be reported to the organizer as soon as possible.

A replacement wristband may be issued after assessment.

Control and follow-up

Crew members, security personnel, and volunteers may carry out checks during the festival.

Upon request, the companion should be able to accompany the certificate holder.

Validity

The companion wristband is valid for the entire festival period unless otherwise specified.
