One of the most unique adventures during Ekstremsportveko.

Train, Hike and Fly is a full mountain mission combining everything we love about speedflying. A scenic train ride, a beautiful hike through the mountains and an unforgettable flight back down to the valley.

The destination remains a secret for now. What we can promise is a stunning route, great terrain and a memorable speedflying descent somewhere in the mountains surrounding Voss.

This is not just a hike and fly. It is a proper adventure designed for pilots who enjoy exploring new terrain and sharing an epic day in the mountains with other pilots.

Before takeoff we will gather around the map for a briefing of the landing area so everyone knows exactly what to expect when it is time to touch down.

Maximum 20 participants.

The plan

We start the day with a scenic train ride to the starting point.

From there we hike up a beautiful mountain route with great views along the way.

At the top we prepare for launch and enjoy a speedflying descent back towards the valley.

After landing we finish the adventure with a relaxed train ride back, sharing stories from the day.

Requirements

Norwegian pilots
- Minimum licence SPG4

Foreign pilots

- Valid speedflying or paragliding licence
- Valid third party insurance
-  Experience with foot launching
- Approval from the Head of Safety

Administrative requirements

Athletes must have completed all the following steps to participate:

- Valid Extreme Pass or Volunteer pass.
- Completed Athlete Registration. Not done that already? Do it here!
- Registered for this event (registration link at the top of the page).

Required equipment

- Standard speedflying equipment
- Hiking shoes recommended

Train ticket

We are working on securing a discounted train ticket for participants.

More information will be sent to registered participants. Depending on the final arrangement, participants may need to arrange their own ticket.
