Description of the competition concept
The bouldering competition will be in two sessions. First part will focus on climbing- and nature experiences, as well as social enjoyment (the Qualification), while the other part will be entertainment all the way - with music, speaker and light show, the athletes are promoted as stars (Finale)!
Qualification
Speed Climbing is a simple concept! It's about being the fastest person up the wall. There will be two mirrored routes, with one athlete against another. Both athletes start at their respective marked starting points. When the starting signal is heard, the clock will start, and the goal is to be the first to reach the top and activate the signal.
Each athlete gets two attempts on each side in the qualification round, with the best time from each side counting. But additionally, there will be an extra element that requires being solution-oriented and planning well to save a lot of time. (More about this will be provided closer to the event).
*The top six athletes in each class will advance to a final.
Final
After qualifying, the best athletes will advance to the finals.
Concept: 4 runs, 2 each side and bonus elements who can save the athlete some time…
