4. SCORING PRINCIPLES
The scoring system is progressive and designed to reward both excellence and consistency.
The difference between podium positions is significant.
The points curve gradually flattens further down the rankings.
Every position matters.
Consistent performance across multiple events can outweigh a single dominant victory.
5. CHAMPIONSHIP BONUSES
FULL WEEK BONUS – 50 Points
Awarded to riders who start and finish all scheduled MTB competitions during the festival week.
To qualify:
The rider must officially start each event. (DNS will remove the bonus).
The rider must be classified in the final results. (DFN & DSQ will remove the bonus).
VERSATILITY BONUS – 30 Points
Awarded to riders who score points in:
At least one Diamond Tier event
At least one Gold Tier event
At least one Silver Tier Event
This bonus reinforces the championship’s all-discipline philosophy.
6. TOTAL SCORE CALCULATION
A rider’s total championship score is calculated as:
- Sum of all earned event points
- Full Week Bonus (if applicable)
- Versatility Bonus (if applicable)
- The rider with the highest total score at the conclusion of all MTB competitions is crowned:
- King of the Mountain (male category)
- Queen of the Mountain (female category)
7. TIE-BREAKER
If two or more riders are tied on total points:
The higher finishing position in Urban DH determines the winner.
If still tied, the higher single-event finish during the week determines the winner.
If still tied, the second-best single-event finish is compared, and so on.
8. DNF, DNS & DSQ
DNS (Did Not Start): 0 points
DNF (Did Not Finish): 0 points
DSQ (Disqualified): 0 points
Disqualification from one event does not remove eligibility for the overall championship unless otherwise decided by competition management.

Overall standings will be updated during the festival week.
Standings become official after verification by MTB competition management.
Ekstremsportveko reserves the right to correct administrative or calculation errors.
