Reserve Course
Knowing how to use your reserve parachute can make all the difference when things do not go according to plan.
During Ekstremsportveko we offer a Paragliding Reserve Course designed for pilots who want to build confidence and improve their emergency preparedness. This course focuses on understanding your equipment, practicing reserve deployment and learning how to react quickly and correctly in a critical situation.
The training will include theory, practical exercises and simulator work where pilots can rehearse the full sequence of deploying their reserve. You will learn how to recognize situations where a reserve deployment is necessary, how to throw the reserve effectively, and how to manage the situation safely after deployment.
Even experienced pilots benefit from refreshing these skills. In stressful situations muscle memory and clear routines are crucial. This course helps you prepare for that moment so you can act with confidence if it ever happens.
The course will be led by experienced instructors and will take place during Ekstremsportveko if there is sufficient interest.
Level
Minimum PP3 licence or equivalent
This course is intended for pilots who already have solid flying experience and want to strengthen their safety skills.

Equipment
Participants should bring:
- Paraglider
- Harness with reserve parachute installed
- Helmet
- Additional training equipment and simulators will be provided by the instructors.

Athletes must have completed all the following steps to participate:
- Valid Extreme Pass, Junior Pass or Volunteer pass.
