Mountain Flying

Experience one of the most spectacular skydiving adventures during Ekstremsportveko.

Every morning during Veko, when weather conditions allow it, we take off from Skydive Voss at 07:00 and fly towards some of Norway’s most spectacular mountain areas.

From there, jumpers exit into a unique mountain flying experience, flying their canopy past snow covered peaks, waterfalls and deep valleys before descending back toward the valley floor.

Mountain Flying requires strong canopy control, terrain awareness and solid decision making, and is considered one of the most scenic canopy flights you can experience in Norway.

If you plan to participate on multiple days, you must register for each day separately.

Requirements

- Valid Extreme Pass or Volunteer pass.
- Completed Athlete Registration. Not done that already? Do it here!
- Registered for this event (registration link at the top of the page).
- Valid skydiving licence meeting the requirements below; 

Jumpers holding a Norwegian licence

- Minimum 500 jumps
- Minimum 50 jumps on the current canopy and rig system, including at least 5 hop-and-pops from 10,000 ft or higher
- Minimum 50 jumps within the last 6 months
- Jumper must be approved by the Head of Load (HL) after completing the required approval form.

Jumpers with any other licence

- Minimum 1,000 jumps
- Minimum 50 jumps on the current canopy and rig system, including at least 5 hop-and-pops from 10,000 ft or higher
- Minimum 50 jumps within the last 6 months
- Jumper must be approved by the Head of Load (HL) after completing the required approval form.
- The jumper must also be recommended by at least one jumper known and trusted by the HL.

Registration

- Registration for Mountain Flying applies to one specific day.
- If you plan to participate on multiple days, you must register for each day separately.
- Participants who want to join Mountain Flying every morning during the week must therefore sign up for all the days they plan to jump.

Payments and information

All payments for Innhopp, Heli Jumping and Mountain Flying are processed through the Burble manifest system so that participants can be placed on a load.

Please make sure you have sufficient funds in your Burble account on the day of the briefing, which takes place the day before the jump.

Safety

All participants must bring their phone on the jump.

Participants must follow all instructions from the organizers and load organizers.
