Join us for a spectacular Hike and Fly adventure during Ekstremsportveko!

Rimstigen rises steeply above Gudvangen and offers one of the most dramatic viewpoints in the region. From the fjord we hike up through historic mountain terrain with breathtaking views over the valley before preparing for an unforgettable flight down.

The landing will be at Bakka by the fjord, creating a unique experience where mountains, fjord and flying meet.

The hike normally takes 3 to 4.5 hours, depending on pace and conditions, so participants should be prepared for a proper mountain day.

Paragliding pilots will also be joining this Hike and Fly, making it a great opportunity to share the adventure and the skies with pilots from different flying disciplines.

After landing, those who want can enjoy a refreshing dip in the fjord before catching the bus back to Voss.

Requirements

Norwegian pilots

- Minimum licence SPG2 + foot launch course

Foreign pilots

- Valid speedflying or paragliding licence
- Valid third party insurance
- Experience with foot launching

Administrative requirements

Athletes must have completed all the following steps to participate:

- Valid Extreme Pass or Volunteer pass.
- Completed Athlete Registration. Not done that already? Do it here!
- Registered for this event (registration link at the top of the page).

Required equipment

- Canopy
- Harness
- Helmet
- Sturdy hiking shoes
- Food and water for a full mountain day
- Warm layers / change of clothes
Participants must carry enough equipment and clothing to safely hike back down if flying is not possible.

Transport

Bus transport will be arranged to and from Gudvangen.

There will be an additional cost for the bus ticket. Payment information will be sent to registered participants.

All participants must sign up and pay for the bus transport to join the event.
